Reverend Curtis Moore, 75, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at CJW Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, VA. Rev. Moore was born March 13, 1945 in Wilson, NC to the late Charlie Walter and Rosa Ellis Moore. He was a graduate of Speight High School in Wilson, NC. Rev. Moore accepted Christ at an early age, joining Piney Grove Baptist Church in Saratoga, NC. Upon relocating to Baltimore, MD, he joined Fireside Baptist Church, and was the pastor of New Cornerstone Baptist Church for 12 years. He settled in Skipwith, VA where he was the Associate Pastor at St. Luke Baptist Church. Rev. Moore was a retired truck driver for Giant Food, Inc., and a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed studying and researching the Bible, action movies, and most recently he discovered a love for technology. In addition to his parents, Rev. Moore was preceded in death by nine siblings. Cherishing his memories are his devoted wife, Mary Esther Moore of Skipwith, VA; loving children, Curtis Tyrone Brown of Baltimore, MD and Christen Moore (Tonya Stein) of Carlisle, PA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Sudie Mae Woodard (Theodore) and Rosa Ragin both of Baltimore, MD, a host of nieces and nephews, his church family, and a vast number of other loving relatives and friends. A memorial service for Reverend Curtis Moore will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Saturday, August 22, 2020 on the campus of St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Franklin Watson, II officiating. Due to COVID-19, a face mask will be required to attend the service, and we ask that you please practice social distancing. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
