Reanell B. Tucker

Mrs. Reanell Brown Tucker 68, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, February 27, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Tucker was born in Chase City, VA Nov. 30, 1940 to the late Lennis and Sarah Elizabeth Mallory Brown. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Finneywood Baptist Church. She was employed by Jonbil Manufacturing for 31 years. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Greene, her second husband, Charlie Noel Tucker, one son, James E. Green Jr., a sister, Pattlue Goode and three brothers, Willie, Leroy, and Otis Brown. Cherishing her memories are six children, Joyce Saunders (Larry) of Drakes Branch, VA., Teresa Crawley (Fletcher) of Crewe, VA., Rev. Vernell Scott of Farmville, VA., Charlie Tucker and Eric Tucker (Sharon) of Chase City, VA. and Rhonda Royster (Anthony) of Greensboro, NC.; four step-children, Larry Tucker of Washington, D.C., Charles Tucker of Chase City, VA., Peggy Tucker of Richmond, VA., and Anna Marie of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Vernice Tucker (Sam); one brother, Larmon Brown (Ethel); son-in-law, Willie Scott, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Tucker, three sisters-in-law, Thelma and Flora Brown and Anna May Gregory of Washington, D.C.; one aunt, Elsie Ellis of Chase City, VA.; a devoted niece, Coszette Staten, devoted friends, Geraldine Gray, Nancy Wood and Ethel Brown and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Reanell Brown Tucker will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in Finneywood Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
