Raymond Earl Odemns, Sr.

Mr. Raymond Earl Odemns, Sr., 72, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, October 31, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Odemns was born in Chase City, VA on October 20, 1950 to Mattie Sims Odemns and the late Robert T. Odemns. He was a graduate of West End High School, and was formerly employed by Clark Construction in Washington, DC. In his spare time, Mr. Odemns enjoyed fishing, hunting, and remodeling homes.

In addition to his father, Mr. Odemns was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Reynolds.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory one son, Raymond Odemns, Jr. of Clinton, MD; three grandchildren, Raven, Tyrell and Raymond, III; one great-grandchild, Noah Oliver; his mother, Mattie Sims Odemns; three brothers, James Moon (Marie) of Chase City, VA, Robert T. Odemns, Jr. (Emmlean) of Clinton, MD and Kenneth Odemns of Washington, DC; two sisters, Joanne Hutcheson of Temple Hills, MD and Frances Dailey (Harold) of Upper Marlboro, MD, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Earl Odemns, Sr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
