Raymond Craig Toone

Mr. Raymond Craig Toone, 67, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Toone was born December 24, 1952 in Liberty, NY to the late Jackson and Bernice Bowling Toone. He received his education in the Yonkers Public School system, and was previously employed as a professional Taxi Cab driver. Mr. Toone was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a gentle soul, and a good conversationalist who enjoyed watching westerns and playing his numbers at the local convenience store. He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Joanne Toone-Rogers of Roanoke, VA, Joyce Marie Toone of Mt. Vernon, NY and Amy E. Bacon (Kenneth) of Chesterfield, VA; brother, Wallace Bowling of Staten Island, NY; aunt, Juanita Jones of Chase City, VA, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous caring friends. A memorials service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City VA.
