Mr. Ray Charles Marrow, 59, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Marrow was born in Rehoboth, VA on February 14, 1964 to the late Colonel and Frances Inez Chandler Marrow. At an early age, he joined Calvary Baptist Church where he attended faithfully. He received his education in the Lunenburg County Public Schools in Victoria, VA. Mr. Marrow worked for WestPoint Stevens for over 20 years. In 2006, he began his trucking career, and retired in 2014 from Dan & Mae Trucking due to health issues. In his spare time, he enjoyed washing and shining on his cars, cooking on the grill, and being around his family. He loved attending shows and winning trophies which is how he earn his CB Handle, "Show Daddy".
In addition to his parents, Mr. Marrow was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Hendricks; two brothers, Clarence Marrow and Arthur Chandler; two uncles, one aunt, and partner in love, Terrisita Whitehead.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Carlos Whitehead, Cornellius Whitehead, Tiffany Whitehead (Shaniqua) and Tyrus Marrow; six grandchildren, Jayla Whitehead, Zyasia Whitehead, Carmari Whitehead, Khayden Whitehead, Brilliance Hubbard, and Cherish Whitehead; seven siblings, Anna Crawley, Evelyn Hamlett, Bessie Tisdale, Colonel J. Marrow (Teresa), Charlie Marrow, Spencer Marrow all of Richmond, VA and William Marrow (Della) of Keysville, VA; seven aunts, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Ray Charles Marrow will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA with Rev. John Craighead, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
