Rashawn Watts

Mr. Rashawn Watts, 45, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Watts was born in Newark, NJ on November 14, 1977 to Mary K. Watts and the late William Louis Oliver. He was a 1996 graduate of Central High School in Victoria, VA, and was a member of Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA. Mr. Watts was currently employed with United Friends as a Direct Support Professional. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, rapping, and was a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan.

In addition to his father, Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Florence and Lloyd Watts, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Annie and William Edward Oliver, three aunts and three uncles.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory three sons, Khalil Watts of Chase City, VA and Steffan Watts and Xavier Watts both of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Kenya Aaliyah “Yadie” Watts of Chase City, VA; grandson, Javion Watts; his mother, Mary K. Watts Mitter (Steve) of Chase City, VA; brother, Sharon Bass; five sisters, Shamika Oliver, Alicia Oliver, Chauita Oliver, Lashauna Oliver and Ashley Mitter; uncle, Billy Watts; close friend, Shannon Mosley, and a vast number of other loving relatives, coworkers and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Rashawn Watts will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Monday, December 19, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Cedric Gayles officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
