Primrose Pulliam

Mr. Primrose Pulliam 93, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Pulliam was born in Chase City, VA November 11, 1919 to the late Richard and Mariah Elam Pulliam. He attended historic Thyne Institute and was a member of Greater Union Baptist Church. He worked numerous years at Spaulding Lumber Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pulliam was preceded in death by one son, Joe E. Pulliam; one sister and six brothers. Cherishing his memories are four children, Willie J. Pulliam (Beulah) of Richmond, VA, Perry R. Pulliam (Irma) of Morristown, NJ, Charles D. Pulliam (Dorene) of Chase City, VA and Calvin P. Pulliam of New Haven, CT; 15 grandchildren, one devoted, Shauneek Marable of Chase City, VA; 26 great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Primrose Pulliam will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Earl Walker, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.
