Mrs. Pearline Penick Marable, 76, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Marable was born in Charlotte County, VA November 5, 1936 to the late John and Annie Snead Penick. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Harper’s Temple Apostolic Church, Clarksville, VA. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Marable, one son, James; one sister, Elsie Carrington, and one brother, Joe Penick. Cherishing her memories are ten children, Paul, Bobby (Thelma), Wayne (Mary), Elaine, Edith, Leon (Nicole) and Kathy all of Chase City, VA, Beverly (Helen) of Carson City, NA, Jerry (Laura) and Mary (David)of Red Oak, VA; two step-sons, Sandy Carrington (Rossetta) and Curtis Carrington of Richmond, VA; 46 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, John and Jessie Penick of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Thelma Bailey and Mammie Cheatham of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Pearline Penick Marable will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Elder Vernell Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Harpers Temple Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Services 2:00 P.M.
