Pearl Alice Coleman Garner

Mrs. Pearl Alice Coleman Garner, 80, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Garner was born in Pittsylvania County, VA April 26, 1940 to the late William Alfred and Mary Lizzie Calloway Coleman. She attended the schools of Pittsylvania County, VA and was a member of The House of Prayer. There she was active with the nursery and Intercessory Prayer. She was formerly employed as a housekeeper for Fuller-Roberts Clinic. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading and playing electronic games. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Garner, two grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers. Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Herbert R. Garner of Buffalo Junction, VA, four daughters, Fay Newton (James) of Buffalo Junction, VA, Carolyn Johnson, Marie Perry (Cleveland) and Demetris Garner all of Durham, NC; three sons, Herbert Coleman (Shirley) of Buffalo Junction, VA, Glenn Garner (Donna) and Bobbie Garner (Dee) all of Chester, PA; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred J. Coleman (Edith) of Creedmoor, NC and Rev. Roger Coleman (Queen) of Buffalo Junction, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday, April 8, 2021 on the campus of C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Charles Davidson conducting the service. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from 2 until 6 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services.
