Mrs. Pattie Mae Keene, 84, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Keene was born in Chase City, VA on October 19, 1936 to the late Edward Pettus and Zella Keene. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Silone Baptist Church. She graduated from West End High School in Skipwith, VA in 1956. Mrs. Keene was a former employee of Jonbil Industries and later Southside Behavioral Health as a custodian. In 1958 she married the love of her life, Worther Keene; this union was blessed with four children. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keene was preceded in death by a stepson, Worther Tucker, and her siblings, William, Charlie, Harold, Jimmy, Earnest, Robert, and Laura. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Worther Keene of Chase City, VA; her children, Vickie Boyd of Richmond, VA, Vivian Keene of Chase City, VA, Winfred Keene of Creedmoor, NC, Francis Boyd ( Jamaale) of Chase City, VA, and Kareem Keene who she raised as her own of Chase City, VA; eight grandchildren; Pattie Russell (Kalvin) of South Hill, VA, Lauretta Keene and Azevia Hilliard (James) of Chase City, VA, Tymane Keene of Ellenwood, GA, Tariq Gregory of Norfolk, VA, Tewanda Epps of Baskerville, VA, Jamiah Boyd of Burlington, NC, and Yariah Boyd of Littleton, NC; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Roberta McFail of Chase City, VA; Godson; Alfred Cheatham, two sisters-laws, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Pattie Mae Keene will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
