Pattie Lee Dailey

Mrs. Pattie Lee Wilson Dailey, 86 affectionately known as “Granny Goose” of Chase City, Virginia entered eternal rest Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. She was born to the late Alice Wilson-Lindsay April 10, 1920 in Charlotte County, Va. Mrs. Dailey joined the Rocky Branch Baptist Church of Saxe, VA at an early age. She was educated in the Charlotte County Public School System and was a homemaker.Pattie was preceded in death by three sons, her mother, six brothers, one sister and two grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, four daughters, Doris-Ann Boyd and Venus Dailey (Robert Boyd) both of Chase City, VA, Nannie Coleman (Ned) and Sally Boyd (Clyde) both of Wylliesburg, VA; three sons, Bylinda Dailey (Eldean) of Wylliesburg, VA, Leroy Dailey (Margaret) of Red Oak, VA and Robert Dailey of Chase City, VA; three godchildren, Betty Oliver, Wade Wilson, and Milton Wilson; 30 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great grandchildren; six sisters, Barbara Staten, Betty Mosley, Ruth Dailey, Margie Royster, Blanche Wood and Alice Brodgon; two brothers, Emmitt Wilson and Doc Wilson; one aunt Mary Goode; nine sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends, among then are Helen Morton, Larry Lambert, Willie Goode, Jerry Crawley and Mattie Shields.Funeral services for Mrs. Pattie Lee Wilson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Saxe, VA with Rev. Phillip Staten, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
