Mr. Ollie Ray Mosley, 66, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, June 6, 2020 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mr. Mosley was born in Mecklenburg County August 16, 1953 to the late Ollie Bert Mosley and Bettie Overby Mosley. At an early age, he joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1 in Clarksville, VA. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools where he was a standout track runner. He was a dedicated worker for many years. His employment began in tobacco with the late Tommy Brankley. He later worked for R.W. Love, and then onto Joe Smith Construction which later became Virginia Carolina Paving. He loved to read; a few of his favorite books included the dictionary and encyclopedia. Remembering and cherishing his precious memories are his mother, Bettie Overby Mosley of Clarksville, VA; brothers, Norman Mosley of Chase City, VA and Paul Mosley of Clarksville, VA; sisters, Rev. Easter Jeffress of Chase City, VA, Rebecca Jones (Sherman, Sr.) of Broadnax, VA and Geraldine Henderson of Oxford, NC; aunts, Lucille Clay of Roxboro, NC, Lorraine Overby of Richmond, VA and Hallie Overby of South Boston, VA; uncles, Morris Overby of Westbrook, ME and Lazarus Overby of Baltimore, MD, six nieces, two nephews, five great-nieces, 13 great-nephews, a devoted and caring “lil” buddy, Delwyn Bouldin, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
