Miss Olivian Hubbard, 67, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chase City, VA.Miss Hubbard was born in Halifax County, VA January 12, 1940 to the late Chris and Hattie Bell Wilson Hubbard. She graduated from Mary Bethune Training School and furthered her education by attended beauty college. She was a beautician for 40 years. At an early age she professed Christ and became a member of New Hope CME Church, Clays Mill, VA, after moving to Newark, NJ she united with Emanuel Church of Christ Disciples.Cherishing her memories is one sister, Mrs. Christine Hudley (Alvin) of Chase City, VA; one brother, Leroy Hubbard (Lillie Hubbard) of Red Oak, VA; four nieces, Kenyette Adams, Terri Ore, Tonia Person and Candice Phillips; four nephews, Anthony Mosley, Christopher Hubbard, Benjamin Ore and Nicholas Davis; goddaughter, Candice Anderson; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Miss Olivian Hubbard will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Saint Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
