Olivia Hector

Miss Olivia Hector (Tennie), 69, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her residence. Miss Hector was born in Washington, D.C. March 9, 1941 to the late Irow and Ethel Jacobs Hector. She attended Thyne Elementary School and West End High School and was employed by the Marriott Corporation for 27 years. Miss Hector was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA where she served on the Missionary Board, Usher Board, and the choir. Cherishing her memories are five sisters, Annie Jones, Pansy H. Lovelace (Harold), all of Washington, DC, Rosa A. Gilbert, Lanham, MD, Bonnie H. Jackson and Easter H. Coffield of Chase City; one brother, Irow Hector (Beverly) of Annandale, VA and a vast number of  other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Olivia Hector will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 23,  at Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Lawrence T. Wilkerson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
