Ola May Martin

Mrs. Ola May Martin, 79 of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, Feb 10, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Martin was born in Palmer Springs, VA December 1, 1942 to the late Lucas and Thelma Clark Mayfield. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and also attended Jerusalem Baptist Church in Palmer Springs, VA. In her spare time, she enjoyed planting flowers, watching TV and visiting family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie R. Martin Sr.; a son, Wilber Mayfield; granddaughter, Chemir Mayfield; sisters, Mary Clark, Edna Mayfield and Annie Chavis; brothers, Clifton Mayfield and William Mayfield. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Eddie R. Martin, Jr. of Boydton, VA; step-sons, Carl Alexander of North Carolina and Eddie Martin III of Petersburg, VA; granddaughter, Tynesha Mayfield of Boydton, VA; sisters, Gracie M. Durham of Henderson, NC and Barbara Jean Mayfeild of Petersburg, VA; brothers, Lucas Mayfield of Philadelphia, PA and Jimmie D. Mayfield of Chase City, VA; brother-in-law, George Roberts; special friend, Carol Alexander of South Hill, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will he held at a later date. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
