Mrs. Ola Mae Parrish, 80, of South Boston, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Parrish was born in Red Oak, VA February 28, 1932 to the late Dock and Hester Mosley Smith. She attended Salem School in Red Oak; at an early age she became a member of Salem Baptist Church, later joining Harpers Temple Apostolic Church, where she was a member of the missionary circle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by three brothers, Humphrey, Wirt and Author Smith and one sister, Carolyn Hayes. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Lisa D. Reynolds of South Boston, VA; three grandchildren, Darrion R. Reynolds of Chase City, VA, India C. Reynolds of South Boston, VA and Kenny D. Wilson of South Boston, VA; one great-grandson, Da’Kyri R. Reynolds of Chase City, VA and a vast number of  other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Mae Parrish will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Elder Vernell Harper, officiating. Burial will follow in Harpers Temple Apostolic Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Viewing for Mrs. Parrish will begin 12:00 Noon Sunday until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
