Odell Fuller

Mr. Odell Fuller, Sr., entered eternal rest Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation.   Mr. Fuller was born in Pittsylvania County, VA   May 7, 1914 to the parentage of John W. and Maybud Mitchell Fuller. Mr. Fuller and his family relocated from Pittsylvania County, VA  to Lunenburg County, VA in 1928.  He served in the United States Army from 1942 – 1946 and was an honorably discharged World War II veteran.  He was employed for many years by Bayne’s Sawmill and in later years retired from Jackson Motor Company in Chase City, VA.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA. Mr. Fuller was first married to Carrie Barnes who preceded him in death.  He later married Mildred Moore in 1972. In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by six brothers, one sister, six children and six grandchildren.     Cherishing his memories are his wife, Mildred Fuller of Chase City, VA; four sons, Kirk Fuller (Mae), Fort Mitchell, VA, Don Fuller (Alma), Bruce Fuller and Michael Fuller all of Chase City, VA; four daughters, Betty Rhodes (David) of York, PA, Ann Pamplin and Patricia Odemns of Chase City, VA and Virginia Fuller, Evington, NJ; four stepchildren, Alice Moore, Richmond, VA, John Moore, Baltimore, MD, Mary Moore and Willie Moore both of Chase City, VA; thirty-six  grandchildren;  fifty-eight great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, one brother, James Fuller of Chase City, VA;  five sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and  caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Odell Fuller will be conducted 11:00 Thursday. Dec. 31. 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 7 P.M.   Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
