Nova Morton Hutchinson

Mrs. Nova Elizabeth Morton Hutchinson, 92, of Plainfield, NJ and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal Thursday, July 3, 2014 in New Jersey. Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Boydton, VA July 24, 1921 to the late Miles and Easter Morton.  She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA.  After graduating, she moved to New Jersey, where she met and later wed Marshall E. Hutchinson in 1943.  Mrs. Hutchinson was a retired housekeeper and a former employee of Peerless Recording Studio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall E. Hutchinson, Sr.; one son, Alfred Harold; one grandson, Jason Findley,  four sisters; Alice, Ann, Pearl and Effie and one brother, Richard. Cherishing her memories are her daughter, Geraldine McClendon (Rufus); a son, Marshall, Jr.; grandchildren, Alex McClendon, Adam Hutchinson (Erin), Aqeel Holman, Anwar Holman, Jason Roberts and Paul Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Jason and Donald Hutchinson, Zi’Asia Holman, Jameer Holman and Alexander Hutchinson; sisters, Mary Eliza Alexander and Mary Jane Simmons; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Nova Elizabeth Morton Hutchinson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Lands Chapel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Rufus McClendon, Jr., officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Service 11:00 A.M.
