Mr. Norman Edward Daves, Sr. 57 of Irvington, NJ and formerly of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. Mr. Daves was born in Newark, NJ July 16, 1948, having previously lived in Clarksville; he had been a resident of Irvington, NJ for the past 20 years. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1, Clarksville, VA. and was a Boiler Mechanic for Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morris town, NJ. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Alma Daves of Irvington, NJ; six children, Valerie Garner of Creedmoor, NC, Norman Daves Jr., Dossie Daves, Tosha Daves all of Irvington, NJ, and Christina and Tyrone Daves both of Newark, NJ; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three sisters, Loretta and Betty Daves both of Irvington, NJ and Connie Daves-Tention of Clarksville, VA; seven brothers, Melvin and Howard Daves both of Newark, NJ, Larry Daves of Union, NJ, Richard Daves, Thomas Daves, Harold Daves, and Ronald Daves all of Boydton, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Norman Edward Daves will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cleotis Lawson, officiating.
