Neal Sterling Coleman

Mr. Neal Sterling Coleman 85, of Disputanta, VA, entered eternal rest Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Skipwith, VA.   Mr. Coleman was born in Baskerville, VA June 23, 1923 to the late James and Mary Jane Joyner Coleman. He was a member of Union Hill RZUA Church, Baskerville, VA and was a self employed carpenter.   He was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Robert and Sterling Neal, one sister, Martha and two brothers, James Thomas Coleman and Wilson Gregory.   Cherishing his memories are six children, Eddie Melvin (Gloria) of ,Walkersville, MD Marilyn Newby, Disputanta, VA; Deborah Roundtree (Leonard), Dumfries, VA; Marguerite Tillerson (Willie III) Skipwith, VA, Brenda Jones (James) Chase City, VA, and Cheryl Holt of Newark, NJ; thirteen grandchildren, Jamie Larry, James Jones, Jr. , Willie Tillerson IV, Terry Newby, Shaun Jones, Brian Jones, Reynaldo Roundtree, and Zachary Coleman, Jean Johnson, Yvonne Melvin, Kimmy Coleman, Tiffany Hayes, and Sarah Coleman, one daughter-in-law, Bessie Coleman a devoted friend, Wilbert Goodwyn, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.   Funeral services for Mr. Neal Sterling Coleman will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Patrick Thomas, pastor of Dale City Christian Church Dale City, VA officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 Noon until service time.   Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
