Mr. Nathaniel Evans, 86, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, December 2, 2024 at VCU Health, Richmond, VA.
Mr. Evans was born in Boydton, VA on July 28, 1938 to the late James, Jr. and Vergie Mae McAdams Evans. He was a graduate of West End High School in Clarksville, VA and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Boydton. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Evans relocated to Orange, NJ with his family. He was the owner of Edison’s Auto Service in Bloomfield, NJ, as he enjoyed restoring cars. When he wasn’t busy working on cars, Nathaniel could be found reading newspapers, listening to music or playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, June and Earl Evans.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marion Virginia Mangum Evans of Boydton, VA; son, Nathaniel Evans, Jr. of Bloomfield, NJ; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Albert Evans of Boydton, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel Evans will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Kenyatta Evans, officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Temple UHC Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
