Nathaniel A. Terry

Mr. Nathaniel A. Terry, “Skinner or Ike”, 67 of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest  Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Terry was born December 18, 1943 to the late Julia A. Terry-Hargrove Taylor and Buster Hargrove. He received his education in the Island Hill School System and was a member of Island Hill Christian Church. He was a retired truck driver for Russin Lumber Company, Montgomery, New York. Cherishing his memories are a devoted friend, Theresa A. Miller, Clarksville, VA; two sons, Nathaniel Terry Jr., Clarksville, VA and Christopher Terry of Brooklyn, NY; three daughters, Teresa Ann Terry and Carol L. Terry of Henderson, NC and Jennifer T. Gayles (John) of Dover, DE; four step-children, Jah-Mell Miller, Kiana Jacobs, Shanika and Shatimah Jacobs all of New York; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Barbara A. Terry (Marion) of Greensboro, NC, Juanita H. Gregory (Steve) Rougemont, NC and Glenda P. Burwell (Chester), Richmond, VA; five brothers, Marion Terry (Dorothy) of Newark, NJ, George T. Hargrove Jr., Brooklyn, NY, Vernon L Hargrove, Woodbridge, VA, Larry W. Hargrove (Laura), Richmond, VA and Shirley Buck Hargrove (Anna) Fort Mitchell, AL; a number of half sisters and brothers; two aunts, Mary Williams, Bronx, NY and Josephine Sneed, Henderson, NC; step-father, George T. Hargrove Sr., Clarksville, VA; two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel A. Terry will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Island Hill Christian Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. John E. Jefferson, officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Townsville, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
