Miss Nannie B. Hardy, 56, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the residence of her sister, Rev. Patricia Liggon. Miss Hardy was born in Mecklenburg County, VA October 20, 1956 to the late Samuel Lucious, Sr. and Avon Gregory Hardy. She was a 1975 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA.. She was a member of the Wednesday Noon Day Prayer Band at Greenwood Baptist Church, Boydton, VA and a volunteer in the ministry of Rev. Patricia Liggon and The Heavenly Choir at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Cherishing her memories are two god-sons, Devin Townes and Damir Hector; five siblings, Rev. Patricia Liggon of Skipwith, VA, Clairstine Cheatham (James) of Fort Mitchell, VA and Jennie Artis (Curbie) of South Hill, VA, Samuel L. Hardy, Jr. of Richmond, VA and Elder Ronald Hardy, Sr. (Mary) of Newport News, VA; one uncle, Jospeh White; one aunt, Clara Belle Hardy; a devoted niece, Marion Day; two adopted sisters, Jean Tucker and Trennis Jefferson and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Nannie B. Hardy will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr. delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends Tuesday, from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Services 1:00 P.M.
