Nancy Harris Jeffress

Ms. Nancy Harris Jeffress, 63, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Ms. Jeffress was born in Berea, NC, March 14, 1949 to the late Charlie and Marie Walker Harris. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Schools and was a member of Harpers Temple Apostolic Church, Clarksville, VA. She was a former employee of Russell Stover Candies. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jeffress was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie, Mamie and Margaret; five brothers, Otis, Richard, Eddie, Herman and Albert James. Cherishing her memories are her children, Henry Jeffress, Jr. of Boston, MA, Carolyn Simmons and Jackie Jeffress of Clarksville, VA, David Jeffress (Joann) of Dillwyn, VA and Michelle Jeffress of Chase City, VA; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Redd (Eligah), Mary Ann Shields (Roy) of Skipwith, VA and Odell Penick (John) of Chase City, VA; three brothers, Charles Harris (Candice) of Charlotte, NC, Willie Harris (Annie) of Red Oak, VA and Woodrow Harris (Patricia) of Chase City, VA; one aunt, Lillie Davis (John) of Skipwith, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Nancy Harris Jeffress will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Elder Vernell Harper, officiating. Burial will follow in Harper’s Temple Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Viewing for Ms. Jeffress will be Saturday, 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
