Nancy Carol Rawlings

Ms. Nancy Carol Rawlings, 73, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at her residence.

Ms. Rawlings, affectionately known as “Grandma”, was born in Wylliesburg, VA on April 22, 1950 to the late John and Cora Boyd Rawlings. She attended the public schools of Charlotte County, VA, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, VA. Nancy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards and crossword puzzles.

Ms. Rawlings was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Rawlings; grandson, Ra'Quan M. Canada; sisters, Sarah and Minnie Elam; brothers, James, Harold and William Rawlings, and one niece.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughters, Tracy Chiles (Putt), Jennifer Rawlings-Pulliam (Willie) and Linda Rawlings all of Chase City, VA; sons, William Rawlings (Pinkie) of Drakes Branch, VA, John Rawlings (Trese) of Chase City, VA, and a grandson she raised as her own, Terrell Rawlings, Sr. (Justice) of Chase City, VA; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Rawlings (Pam) of Oxford, NC; two aunts, Estelle Boyd and Hazel Mosely, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Nancy Carol Rawlings will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Earnest Goode officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
