Muriel S. Davis

Mrs. Muriel S. Davis, 92, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, January 19, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born in Brooklyn, NY August 13, 1922 to the late Clarence Royal Fenty and Elgatha Greene.  She attended Public School 47 in Brooklyn, NY and was a graduate of New York University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Mrs. Davis was employed as a registered nurse and retired from Peninsula Hospital Center, Queens, NY. After retirement, she relocated to Chase City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin W. Davis and one son, Hasan Muhammad. Cherishing her memories are one son, Husain Abdallah; numerous grandchildren; devoted granddaughters Dr. Jawairriya Abdallah-Shahid, Nur-Jahan Abdallah and Rabia Muhammad; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean L. Curtis and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Muriel S. Davis will be conducted 4:00 P.M.
