Molly Brown

Mrs. Molly Brown, 78, of California formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in California. Mrs. Brown was born in Chase City, VA February 10, 1930 to the late Charlie and Anna Winn. She received her formal education in Chase City, VA and graduated from Thyne Institute. She married Judson Brown and they migrated to California. She was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ “Holiness” where she was a devoted member and served in various ministries of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson Brown, two sisters and three brothers. Cherishing her memories are, one brother, Allen Winn (Hyacinth); three sisters, Fannie Winn, Irene Walker (Delton) and Estelle Grier (James) and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Molly Brown will be conducted 11:00 A. M. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Pastor Tony A. Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Winn Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
