Minnie Pearl Bullock Lyons

Mrs. Minnie Pearl Bullock Lyons, 67, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, September 24, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Lyons was born in Warren County, NC February 25, 1943 to the late Alfred and Ida Lou Jones Bullock. She attended the schools of Warren County, NC and was a member of Oak Level United Church of Christ, Manson, NC. Cherishing her memories are; one son, Otis Lyons, Jr. of Skipwith, VA, three daughters, Theresa Lyons of Suitland, MD, Karen Traynham (Lamont) of Chase City, VA, Cynthia Crawley (Andrew) of Chase City, VA, , , 15 grandchildren,  6 great grandchildren; five brothers, Alfred Bullock (Darlene) of Glenarden, MD, James Bullock of Oxon Hill, MD, Edward Bullock (Diane), John Bullock, and Phillip Bullock (Mona) all of Chase City, VA; four sisters, Claudine Rhone and Shirley Gayles both of Chase City, VA, Grace Quarles of Washington, DC and Lucy Harris of Richmond, VA; one sister-in-law, Pauline Nelson , four brothers-in-law, William Lyons,  James Lyons, Julius Lyons and Ralph Lyons, extended family Betina Fletcher (Mike) of Laurel, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Pearl Bullock Lyons will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Oak Level United Church of Christ, Manson, NC with Rev. Leon White, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by at Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
