Mrs. Minnie Oneda Toone Wilson, 91, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2017 in Chase City, VA. Mrs. Toone was born August 2, 1925 in Lunenburg County, VA to the late Chester and Mattie Toone. She was a 1943 graduate of Lunenburg High School, later relocating to Yonkers, NY where she worked for Alyssa Fashions, Inc. for many years. While there she joined Messiah Baptist Church. In 1976, she returned to Virginia, and joined Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA where she served on the Usher Board and Kitchen Committee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Price Lee Wilson; two sisters; Mary Lecoq and Nannie Toone; five brothers, Joseph, Dewey, Arthur and Jesse Toone and Alvoid Goode, and a great-grandson, Timothy Moreno. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Mattie Simmons (Floyd), LeVonne Yountz and Bernadette Moreno; step-daughter, Priscilla Copeland (Theodore); 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring fiends. A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Oneda Toone Wilson will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Victoria, VA with Rev. Gwen Starr officiating. Public Viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., with the family receiving friend from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
