Minister Thomas Lawrence, 56, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his residence. Minister Lawrence was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 6, 1964 to Ruby Boyd and the late Daniel Tucker. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and attended the House of Prayers in Chase City, VA. Minister Lawrence was formerly employed at Colonial Foods. He enjoyed cooking, dancing and music. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ruby Boyd of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Timothy Boyd of Chase City, VA and Thaddeus Boyd (Shawanda) of Chester, VA; sister, Ruth Lawrence of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Minister Thomas Lawrence will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 24, 2021 on the campus of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing.
