Michael Lee Lawrence

Mr. Michael Lee Lawrence, 54, of Meherrin, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital, Henrico, VA.

Mr. Lawrence was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on February 18, 1969 to Katherine Louise Watson and the late Thomas L. Bass. He attended Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. Mr. Lawrence was formerly employed as a landscaper. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing spades and horseshoes.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a special friend, Christina “Toot” Blue.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory one daughter, Jahniece Lawrence of Farmville, VA; two grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Katherine Louise Watson (Dandy) of Chase City, VA; four brothers, Timothy Watson of Farmville, VA, Daniel Watson of Chase City, VA , Anthony Watson of Richmond, VA and Thomas Bass, Jr., six aunts, two uncles, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Michael Lee Lawrence will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Timothy Green, officiating.
