Michael Edward Taylor

Mr. Michael Edward Taylor (Buster), 60, of Drakes Branch, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Westport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Richmond, VA.

Mr. Taylor was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 18, 1962 to the late William E. and Rachel Mae Smith Taylor. He attended Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and at an early age became a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. He was previously employed by Spaulding Lumber Company, Butler Lumber Company and Lee Emory.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, William A. Taylor and sister, Alice Taylor.

Cherishing his memories are four sisters, Avon Taylor (George), Ernestine Taylor, Josephine Taylor (Keith), and Linda Menjivar (Leo); one brother, George R. Taylor (Peggy), and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Edward Taylor will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Minister Amy Walton delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday.
