May Ella Cousin

Mrs. May Ella Cousin, 78, of Wayne, NJ and formerly of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, August 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Paterson, NJ. Mrs. Cousin was born in Saxe, VA on August 30, 1936 to the late Will and Evergreen Saunders McCargo.  She received her early education from Galilee Elementary School and later attended Central High School. She was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Red Oak, VA and was a retired employee of the U. S. Postal Service in New Jersey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cousin. Cherishing her memories is one son, Thomas E. Cousin of Saxe, VA; two sisters, Beatrice Boyd of Largo, MD and Shirley A. King of Saxe, VA; two sisters-in-law, Katie McCargo of Chase City, VA and Hattie McCargo of Red Oak, VA; devoted nephews, Jerome Boyd and Emmett Boyd  and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. May Ella Cousin will be conducted 11:30 A.M. , Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
