Maxine Gayles

Miss. Maxine Gayles, 58, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, January 28, 2016 at MCV/VCU Hospital, Richmond, VA. Miss Gayles was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 26, 1957 to the late Charles and Marjorie T. Gayles. She was a 1975 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School. Miss Gayles was previously employed by Russell Stover Candies of Clarksville, VA, Hampco Apparel of Chase City, VA and Harden Manufacturing in La Crosse, VA. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. In addition to her parents, Miss Gayles was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Gayles. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Shanelle Gayles of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren, Kalea, Sariyah and Lamonte; one sister, Elizabeth Gayles of Chase City, VA; one brother, Charles Gayles of Chase City, VA and a devoted friend, Calvin Knight. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Interment private.
