Maurice C. Roberts

Mr. Maurice Cordell Roberts, 20, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 as a result of and automobile accident. Mr. Roberts was born in South Boston, VA January 27, 1989 to Ronnie Pettus and Phyllis Denise Roberts. He was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School and was an employee of Sunrise Shavings, Red Oak, VA and a member of Greater Union Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by a brother Jeremy Mosley. Cherishing his memories are his parents, Phyllis Roberts of Chase City, VA and Ronnie Pettus of Oxen Hill, MD; three sisters, Wanda Roberts, Demetrius Roberts and Jessica Roberts all of Chase City, VA; two nieces, Taliyah and Takeria Wilson; three nephews Tashaun Wilson, Jamir Roberts and Ja’Marion Edmonds; devoted friends, Rocky, Alex,  Jamie and Lee Lee and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Maurice Cordell Roberts will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
