Mattie Sue Hepburn

Miss Mattie Sue Hepburn, 87, of South Hill, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Mecklenburg House, South Hill, VA. Miss Hepburn was born in Mecklenburg County, VA February 13, 1931 to the late Otis, Sr. and Mildred Bagby Hepburn. She was a graduate of the historic Thyne Institute, and at an early age joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Miss Hepburn was a homemaker and devoted caregiver to family and friends. In addition to her parents, Miss Hepburn was preceded in death by siblings, Otis Hepburn, Jr. and Myda Jane Hepburn. She leaves to cherish her memories the residents of Mecklenburg House and other caring friends. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday March 26, 2018 at Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery, Chase City, VA with Elder Charles Allen conducting the service. Public viewing will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
