Mattie Ruth Cheatham

Mrs. Mattie Ruth Cheatham, 64, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Cheatham was born in Charlotte County, VA on June 23, 1958 to the late Helen Lee Walker and George Mosley. At an early age, she attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1 in Clarksville, VA. She attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools, and was a 1976 graduate of Bluestone High School in Skipwith. Mrs. Cheatham was a loving and kind person who kept a smile on her face, and would help anyone she could. She really loved her three sons, who she would do anything for.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cheatham was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Cheatham, Jr.; one sister, Mary Taylor; two brothers, Larry Walker and Leroy Walker, and one niece, Felicia Walker.

Cherishing her legacy of love are her three sons, Azablon Cheatham, Javonte Cheatham, Kevin Cheatham all of Chase City, VA; her loving brother, John Walker (Tish); one niece; Taquaysha Walker; three nephews, James Walker, Jonathan Walker and Jermaine Walker and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Public viewing from Mrs. Mattie Ruth Cheatham will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
