Miss Mary Lena Boyd, 46, of Halifax, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.Miss Boyd was born in Charlotte County, VA October 31, 1960 to the late William C. and Irene Boyd. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA.She was preceded in death by one sister Laurena Boyd. Cherishing her memories are five children, Christopher Boyd of Baskerville, VA, Shauntelle Boyd, Stephanie Boyd, Brandon Boyd and Mikayla Boyd all of Halifax, VA; four sisters, Deborah Boyd, Rose Morals (Armondo) Donna Boyd and Tammy Duncan all of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Don W. Boyd and Tyrone Boyd both of Red Oak, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Miss Mary Lena Boyd will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
