Mary Jane Watson

Ms. Mary Jane Watson, 77, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her residence. Ms. Watson was born in Charlotte County, VA October 11, 1938 to the late Mitchell and Lona McCargo Boyd. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA. She was a former employee of Jonbil, Inc. In addition to her parents, Ms. Watson was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Cherishing her memories are six daughters, Mary Ann Watson, Linda Watson Thompson (Leonard), Annette Watson, Catherine Watson and Darlene Watson Chandler (Carl) all of Baltimore, MD and Delores Watson Claiborne (Jerry) of Alton, VA; two sons, Emmanuel Watson of Baltimore, MD and Charles Edward Watson of Chase City, VA; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Boyd of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Dorothy and Isabelle Watson both of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Mary Jane Watson will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
