Mary Frances Bacon

Mrs. Mary Frances Bacon, 77, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mrs. Bacon was born February 18, 1943 in Sumter, SC to the late Harmon and Pauline Higgins. She attended Central High School in Newark, and was a retired CNA and Central Service Technician at West Hudson Hospital with over 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, VA. In her spare time, Mrs. Bacon enjoyed knitting. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bacon was preceded in death by her husband, B. W. Bacon; a son, Brian W. Bacon, Jr, and one brother, Beney Higgins. Cherishing her memories are one son, Robert Bacon of Newark, NJ, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Bacon will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Bacon Family / Ivy Hill Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
