Mary Elizabeth Hargrove Dunnell

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hargrove Dunnell, 77, of East Orange, NJ and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2015 in New Jersey. Mrs. Dunnell was born in Boydton, VA on May 13, 1937 to the late Robert L. Sr. and Mary Hargrove.   She received her formal education in the Mecklenburg County School System and was a 1955 graduate of East End High School, South Hill, VA.    After graduation, she relocated to New Jersey, and later joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where worked faithfully in the music department as a lead soprano for the Senior Choir.  She later met and married the late Charlie Lee Dunnell on June 6, 1959, and to this union four children were born. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings. Cherishing her memories are four children, Todd E. Dunnell (Robin) of Somers Point, NJ, Min. Mattie E. Dunnell and Tosha Williams (Auco)  of East Orange, NJ and Charles L. Dunnell, Jr. of Riverdale, GA; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Jr. and Raymond Hargrove of East Orange, NJ and Joseph Hargrove (Sheila) of Boydton, VA;  six sisters, Pauline Catoe of Patterson, NJ, Mable Wynn (Frank) and Mildred Hargrove of Cocoa, FL, Margaret Crenshaw (Ronald) of Conyers, GA, Shirley Young (Steve) and Lucille Evans (James) of Boydton, VA and vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hargrove Dunnell were conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home with Elder Kenyatta G. Evans officiating.   Burial followed in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.   Services 11:00 A.M.
