Mary Elizabeth Goode

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Goode, 88 of Waldorf, MD entered eternal rest Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Goode was born in Wylliesburg, VA July 10, 1923 to the late Robert Lee Wilson and Sally McCargo. She attended Black Castle Elementary School and was a domestic worker and share cropper until she retired in 1992.  Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her husband, Plede Goode and her siblings Irene, Lottie, Rosa, Elsie, John Alonzo, Caleb, Joshua, and Joseph.   Cherishing her memories are her children, Mattie Redd , Frank (Sheila) and William Wilson all of Washington, DC;  19 grandchildren, 42 great , two great-great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Hazel Mosley, Eva Wilson, Estelle and Viola Boyd and a  vast number of other loving relatives and  caring friends.  Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Goode will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 16, 2012 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak,  VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for will be on Friday, June 15 from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
