Mary Ann Hatcher

Mrs. Mary Ann White Hatcher, 73, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Chase City Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Hatcher was born in Newark, NJ April 9, 1942 to the late Alphonso and Mamie Smith Coleman. She obtained her early education in the schools of New Jersey and later graduated from Essex County College in Newark, NJ. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and was a retired office manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry White, one brother, Lee Roy Coleman and a grandson, Rahim Martin Sr. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Grover Hatcher of Boydton, VA; seven children, Gina Johnson (Robert) of Chase City, VA Rahman White (Cherise) of Hopewell, VA, John D. White, Gerald White and Juanita White of New Jersey, Larry White (Jessie) and Dennis White (Terry) of Maryland numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister, Priscilla Wilkins (Clarence) of Boydton, VA; three brothers, Charlie Coleman (Lenora) and Alphonzo Coleman (Kim) all of Chase City, VA and Alin Coleman of Boydton, VA; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann White Hatcher will be conducted 2:00 P.M.     Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode, officiating. Interment Private. Public Viewing for Mrs. Hatcher will begin 12:00 Noon Saturday. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Services 2:00 P.M.
