Mary Amos Brummell

Miss Mary Amos Brummell, 78, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Miss Brummell was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on November 2, 1940 to the late Martha Smalls and Judge Amos Brummell. She attended Hope Mission Church in Clarksville, VA, and was a former home health aide and housekeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eldridge Brummell and John Smalls. She leaves to cherish her loving memories one brother, Charles Brummell of Chase City, VA; four sisters, Olivia Greggs (Fred) and Dianna Davis, all of Syracuse, NY, Paulette Gayles of Clarksville, VA and Regina Goodbee of Albany, NY; two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Mary Amos Brummell will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2019 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Elder Frederick Betts delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
