Martin (Buck) E. Brummell

Mr. Martin Elvoyd Brummell, Sr., (Buck) 80, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Brummell was born in Mecklenburg County, VA November 6, 1928 to the late Edgar P. Sr. and Mamie Evans Brummell. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA. He was the retired owner/operator of Three B Construction.  Mr. Brummell was preceded in death by his son, Martin E. Brummell, Jr. and one brother, Edgar P. Brummell II. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Sally C. Brummell of Clarksville, VA; three sons, Samuel Brummell of Bullock, NC, Lawrence Brummell of Clarksville, VA and Tracy Brummell, Fayetteville, NC; three daughters, Mamie Terry (Randolph), Clarksville, VA; Christine Daniel (Willie), Nelson, VA and Jacquetta Bumpass (Dennis), of Oxford, NC; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Hill, Baltimore, MD; four brothers, Alexander Brummell,  Lawrence Brummell (Marge) and Charlie Brummell (Alice) all of Clarksville, VA and George Brummell (Watina), Clarksville, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Martin Elvoyd Brummell, Sr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn officiating and Rev. Earl Terry delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.  Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 Fourth St., Clarksville, VA.
