Martha Ann Thomas

Ms. Martha Ann Thomas, 69, of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Retreat Doctor’s Hospital, Richmond, VA. Ms. Thomas was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on June 21, 1947 to the late James and Martha Lee Atkins Webb. At an early age, she joined New Light Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA and attended Holly Rock School, later attending West End High School. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and being around friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Angela Webb. Cherishing her memories are one son, Dennis Webb (Denise) of Richmond, VA; one grandchild, Deseree Allen of Roanoke, VA; one great-grandchild, Jaciyah Allen; two sisters, Jane E. Broadie of Richmond, VA and Paula Webb of Chase City, VA; one brother, Tyrone Atkins of Richmond, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Martha Ann Thomas will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. James L. Sailes, officiating. Burial will follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
