Marlene Wright Hardy

Mrs. Marlene Wright Hardy, 64, of Skipwith VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Hardy was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 8, 1948 to the late Benjamin and Elnora Lyons Wright. She was a graduate of West End High School, a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and a former employee of Hampco Apparel, Chase City, VA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one niece, Stephanie Pulliam. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Warren Hardy of Skipwith, VA; one brother, Harvey Lee Wright (Saudia) of Baltimore, MD; eight aunts, Jeanette Lyons, Annie Pulliam, Jacqueline Pulliam, Mary Pulliam, Dorothy Pulliam, Hazel Pulliam, Anita Bacon and Zella Williams; five uncles, Robert, Willis, Morton, Eltee and George Pulliam; two devoted nephews, Darnell and Karvin Hardy, other nephews, Harvey, Jr., Daryl, and Westley; five nieces, Marshal, Wanda, Lisa, Antoinette and Katrina; great niece, Shermir Pulliam; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Hardy of Skipwith, VA and Curtis Hardy of Chase City, VA; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hardy, Barbara White and Joyce Hardy; devoted cousins, Joseph Dailey and France Mitchell and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Marlene Wright Hardy will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
