Mrs. Marine Odoms Coleman, 86 of Richmond, Virginia and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, June 2, 2008 at CJW Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, VA.  Mrs. Coleman was born in Macon, GA November 1, 1921 to the late Roland L. and Lela Odoms Littlejohn. She attended Cleveland High School in Shelby, NC. Upon moving to Virginia she joined Greater Union Baptist Church where she served as devoted church secretary for 15 years; she also served as a Sunday school teacher and as a Missionary. She was a former employee of Lake Sleepwear, Boydton, VA.  Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, James Coleman Sr. and her son, Larry Louis Coleman.  Cherishing her memories are her children, Ella Jean Coleman, Linda Coleman Starkes and Fay P. Coleman all of Chesterfield, VA, Lela Ann Coleman and Shirley Coleman Richardson (Willie) all of Baltimore, MD, Teresa Coleman Davis (Marvin) of Richmond, VA, James Coleman Jr., of Glenarden, MD and Ronnie Lee Coleman  (Sandra) of Chase City, VA; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Mrs. Marine Odoms Coleman will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Greater Union Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St. Chase City, VA.
