Mamie Ruth Jones

Mrs. Mamie Ruth Jones, 85, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Jones was born in Dover, NC April 3, 1929 to the late Nathaniel and Ruth White Smith. She attended the schools of Craven County, NC and was a member of Lake Country Community Church.  She was the former owner of Tiffany's Bar and Restaurant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Henderson. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Harry Jones of Chase City, VA; one step-son, Mark Lander Jones of London, England, numerous nieces and nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA with Rev. John Baughman, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
