Mamie M. Brown

Ms. Mamie Mable Brown, 71, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Envoy of Lawrenceville, VA. Ms. Brown was born in Saxe, VA on June 15, 1945 to the late Hezekiah and Clara Daniel Brown. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA. She was formerly employed by Hampco Apparel, Chase City, VA. Cherishing her memories are four children, Carolyn Dailey Halsey of Emporia, VA, Jessie Jerome and Morris Edward Dailey both of Richmond, VA and James Thomas Dailey of Waverly, VA; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie Brown of Drakes Branch, VA, Virginia Brown of Newark, NJ and Barbara Lawrence of South Hill, VA; one brother, Hezzie Brown of Clover, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Mamie Mable Brown will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Minister Timothy Green, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.
